Our "Thompson Family" Reunion was a hoot!

Since some of us have come all the way from Oklahoma, So. Calif, Washington & Oregon, besides Idaho- we found that having the reunion during the week made it best for all of us. They travelled on each weekend and we received better group rates on things to do and lodging.

This is just some of the fun we had...

Most stayed at the Ashley Inn.  We pampered ourselves with a full breakfast buffet each morning and warm cookies every night at 8 pm.

We loved the comfy bed, cozy robes and our own fireplace.

The Pool, whirlpool spa and fitness room were always open.  We loved that.

Some camped in tents or brought their RV's.  At Water's Edge they had full hook-ups and great restrooms, private showers, laundry room and picnic pavilions.

Guests at the Ashley Inn & Water's Edge all get free use of their kayaks & canoes on the flatwater part of the Payette River.
The private beach is a safe place for families to play in the water and enjoy watching the Osprey's catch their dinner.
Fishing was fun...this is one of the little ones that didn't get away!

Fun food for everyone. Someone got into the berries, we can see!

How did we spend our time? Besides catching up?

The private beach is a safe place for families to play in the water and enjoy watching the Osprey's catch their dinner.

We all like to sit by a campfire and roast hot dogs, marshmallows & make S'mores.  It the was perfect time to hear stories of the past, hear what's happening now in the families lives and get to know the new "in-laws" and babies added to our family.

We all became Grandparents in the last year!  That was special.

Eating...Talking...taking pictures...    playing golf...    boating...    fishing...    Tamarack zipline....        whitewater rafting...tubing down the Payette River through Kelly's Whitewater Park...Deer Farm... and relax at the pool & spa or head out to the natural hot springs in the middle of the Forest...wondered if 5 days is long enough?

We also have planned to go to the Starlight Mountain Theatre,a live play performed outdoors at 8 pm many summer nights, but there was so much to do in Cascade that we never made it there.

We haven't even got time to go up to McCall for more shopping, eating and touring the Lake!

Biking along trails in Cascade like Crown Point walkway along Lake Cascade or The Strand along the Payette River.  Another option is to visit the trails at Jug Mountain Ranch .  Play Golf on their scenic course and then have a delicious lunch at their clubhouse, open for anyone.
