Great time to come up to Cascade and play.  Snowmobile, apline ski or nordic skiing rentals available close by.  We have snowshoes for our Ashley Inn guests to borrow.  Walk along the Payette River and see the deer and fox tracks.  Sit and observe the bald eagle, great blue heron and merganzer ducks.

One of our favorite things to do.

  Travel through the snow on a horse drawn sleigh filled with hay bales to sit on.  Bring your camera,  warm, warm clothes, jackets & blankets& snacks, thermos of something hot to drink, etc. 

They take you to the meadow where the wild Idaho elk come to feed in the winter when snow has covered their main feeding areas higher on the mountain.  Trip lasts about an hour.

Wheelchair accessible.

Hap &  Florence Points Sleigh Rides provide a chance to view Rocky Mountain Elk and other wildlife on the scenic Gold Fork River, just 25 min. from the Ashley Inn.  The experience is like no other.  The setting is rustic offering an old-fashioned, unique and intimate interaction in their own natural habitat, and on their terms.

They've been doing this since 1983 in Donnelly.
