Many people ask "Why is the Ashley Inn in Cascade?".
In 1992, Ashley, Katrin and their 3 kids moved to Cascade and opened up Water's Edge Rv Resort on the Payette River. They fell in love with the people and the area. RVers also loved it and enjoyed their summers here.
They knew of the beauty of the Idaho Mountains from Fall to Spring. In the Summer, RVers always bring their own beds, but in the Fall, Winter and early Spring there were only a few beds available in Cascade.
When the Boise Cascade Mill closed down, in 2001, Ashley felt it would help the town of Cascade to have an Inn with fireplaces and gathering places, where people could come and enjoy the area all year round. "But it can't just be a plain motel, it has to be a place that is welcoming, friendly and comfortable, like visiting your friend's rich aunt's house", he says with a smile.
Ron, our "to be manager" caught Ashley and Katrin checking out the bathtubs. Katrin really thought it was important that the tubs were comfortable!
